The
Hocking Hills region is one of Ohio's least expensive and
greenest getaways in the Midwest. There are hundreds of miles of
trails for visitors to hike in the
Hocking Hills for free including those at Hocking
Hills State Park (Old Man's Cave), Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski
State Forest, Wayne National Forest and Hocking State Forest.
There is boating at Lake Logan, shopping at the many antique
markets and plenty of fast food restaurants and fine places to
dine. In fact, there is so much to see and do, you may
want to book your stay for more than just a few nights!

Old Man's Cave
- Old Man's Cave is most likely one of the most popular
hikes in the Midwest. It has beautiful
waterfalls, steep cliffs, unique bridges and rock tunnels.
Old Man's Cave is
approximately 1 mile long and takes about an hour to hike. |

Ash Cave
- Ash Cave features a winding asphalt trail that
leads to the largest recess cave in Ohio. It also has a
seasonal waterfall and rock formations. There is an upper and
lower trail at Ash Cave, each one approximately a 1/2 mile
long. The lower trail is handicap accessible. It takes approximately
30 minutes to hike the trail. |

Cedar Falls
- Cedar Falls features a
magnificent seasonal waterfall and also a beautiful trail
surrounded by hemlocks.
The trail is about a
1/2 mile and takes about 30-40 minutes to hike. |

Conkle's Hollow
- Conkle's Hollow has a multitude of adventures: steep cliffs,
hemlock-lined trails, awesome views, rock formations and a paved lower trail
that is wheelchair and stroller accessible. It has two trail
systems - an upper and a lower trail.
The rim is 2 1/2 miles
long. The lower trail is about a mile in length. It takes
about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to hike the rim or upper trail
and about 1 hour to hike the lower trail. |

Cantwell Cliffs
- Cantwell Cliffs is best known for its
winding passages, steep slopes and a unique rock shelter. The trail is
about a mile and takes 1- 1 1/12 hours to hike |

Rockhouse
- Rockhouse gives guests to the region a
peek into the past (the area once housed a hotel and was an
alleged hideout for bandits. It also has a view of the closest
thing to a real cave in the park system.
The Rockhouse trail is
about a 1/2 mile long and takes 30 to 45 minutes to traverse |

Lake
Hope State Park - Not far from Old Man's Cave, Lake
Hope State Park is home to Hope Furnace - an historical
reminder that the region was once bustling with industry.
There is also a mountain bike trail at the park, a beach and
plenty of fishing accesses. |
